LARDI Visits the Headquarters of Nigerian Correctional Service, Kebbi State.
The team comprising of Chinelo Uchendu Esq. (National Coordinator of LARDI), Rufai Muhammed Esq. (LARDI Clearinghouse Administrator), Abiola Olawole Esq. (Member, LARDI Abuja) and Illiasu Ibrahim Esq., (Ag. State Rep Kebbi State) were received by the Head of Operations Dr. Natti David Danjuma and the officer in charge of Welfare.
The essence of the advocacy visit is to build partnership with the NCS towards an increase in the standard of care to inmates and the respect of their human rights.
The mission team advocated for the welfare of the inmates in the custodial centers and for the NCS to continue in their good efforts at producing the inmates to court timeously, as well as refer those without lawyers facing drug charges to LARDI. The goal is to speed up adjudicatory process.
We hope to make a difference in the lives of indigent drug arrestees. However, we cannot do this without lawyers willing to volunteer their time and expertise.
Please join us today and together we can make a huge difference.
