NDLEA Promotes 6 Officers To ACG Of Narcotics

Chairman/Chief Executive, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (rtd.) has approved the promotion of six officers to the rank of Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, ACGN.

According to a release signed by the NDLEA Principal Staff Officer, Public Affairs, Jonah Achema, made available to TheCaveat.info, the officers were until their promotion Commanders of Narcotics.

The affected officers are: Anthony Nkem Ohanyere, mni, Mrs. Audu Ikharelu Wasilat, fsi, and Hamza Umar, mni, OON.

Others include, Ahmed Suleiman Ningi, Omolade Eniola Faboyade and Pius Nuhu Gamde.

The promotion, the release claimed reflects the six-geo-political zones of the country.
It further said that the promotion is consistent with the approval by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

Abdallah has urged the officers to see their promotion as a call to higher service and to continue to distinguished themselves.

“The exercise is expected to spur the benefitting commanders to put in their best in the service of the Agency and the nation.

"The reward for hard work is more work”, the Chairman maintained, adding that “this promotion has come as a result of outstanding performance, but it is an opportunity for you to further distinguish your selves”.

TheCavest.info reports that the Chairman has kept faith with his recent assurance that the promotion exercise in the Agency would come up in phases.

Only recently, the Agency elevated a total of 1, 311 staff, made up 1, 291 staff within the rank and file and 20 others converted to officer cadre.
